Do You Smell Gas?

Since both natural gas and propane are colorless and odorless gases, a chemical is added for safety. This is what gives the gas that rotten egg-like smell.
If you smell gas, here’s what to do next:
- Don’t light any matches or flames.
- Do not turn on or off any lights or appliances.
- Do not use the phone or cell phones inside the house.
- Leave the area immediately.
- Shut off the main gas supply if it is safe to do so.
- Do not return to the home or area until your system has been inspected by our service technicians.
- Call us to report the leak or dial 911.
- Have your system inspected.
